No matches to be played until after the 12th June
this may be extended
To: National League Secretaries Area Associations
Please be advised that further to the previous FAW Board decision of 17th April 2020, (and my communication of the same day), the current suspension of all domestic football in Wales is extended automatically until 12th June, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I would be grateful if you could share this with your relevant Clubs / Leagues. The statement below, previously issued by our insurance providers Bluefin, is still in effect. “Neither the Countycover Liability insurance package or Personal Accident insurance arranged through the Football Association of Wales will respond to claims if clubs continue to provide sessions which is against the advice of the Government and Governing Body. "This includes clubs arranging matches, training sessions, friendlies, competitions and tournaments. "Furthermore, as Personal Accident insurance does not provide cover in respect of Sickness, Disease or Illness, there is no cover for a person contracting COVID-19 whilst playing or training. "There is an obligation for all officials to take all reasonable precautions to ensure the wellbeing of members and we thank you for your co-operation at this unprecedented time." Above all, the most important priority for the FAW is the health and wellbeing of everyone. The FAW encourages everyone to follow the advice of the UK & Welsh Governments and Public Health Wales. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the pandemic.
