Big Changes at Llandyrnog Utd

By Ronald Bridges

Long serving members step down and New Officers and Manager appointed

Long serving Chairman Mr Gary Lewis has decided to step down after 16 years at the helm of Llandyrnog United. As one of the original founder members of the club Mr Lewis has seen the club enjoy the highest highs and lowest lows throughout his tenure as Chairman but feels now is the time to step aside and pave the way for new board as United prepare for a complete re shuffle of committee and officers.

Also stepping down is club secretary and treasurer Matthew Lewis who has been the driving force for a number of years now and will be a big loss to the club but both are long overdue a break from football.

Llandyrnog United can't thank them both enough for all their efforts as the club would not be here today without all their hard work, time and effort and it goes without saying that they will be sorely missed by everyone involved.

Llandyrnog United are pleased to announce a new board and committee that will be keen to get United back on track and provide a solid future for years to come.
Neal Colakoglu will be taking over as Chairman with immediate affect, Neal was formerly director at Trefnant before applying for the vacant United role, a huge local football fan Neal is determined to get Dyrny back into Division One.

Local village stalwart Clive Jones will be the new Vice Chairman and is keen to see the village give the club it's full backing and get things back on track.
Taking over from Matthew Lewis as secretary is Iain Robertson who is also set to be the new landlord of the Golden Lion pub, home of Llandyrnog United and will be sure to look after all the lads and offer a warm welcome to the opposition.
Club legend Dan Jones (DJ) will be the new acting treasurer, Dj knows the club inside out and his career in finance will be a huge asset to the club going forward.

Along with several new committee members directly from the village joining the current board it's safe to say Llandyrnog United is in safe hands.

Welcome aboard gentlemen!
