2nd Clubs resigns

Trearddur Bay United

Sad times for club, but we will bounce back stronger

It is with great regret we can confirm that Trearddur Bay United will not
have a team in the Welsh alliance this season. We had a tough season last
year but achieved our goal of staying up with the intention then of building
on that young squad with a few additions at a time to allow us to continue
to improve and get back to the level that we were at three seasons ago when
we won the Welsh alliance division one. Unfortunately we couldn't be
promoted due to the ground criteria, this we feel was the beginning of the
demise of the club. That following season we lost a lot of players and
relied on our reserves to finish the league. Last season started the same
with only three players at our first training session. This season looked a
lot better and the enthusiasm was starting to build again with the squad
looking a lot better than last season after a few additions were brought in.
We knew it wouldn't happen overnight and it was at least a three year plan
to return the club to previous stature.

Unfortunately the enthusiasm wasn't felt by all and after a couple of the
more senior players decided that the squad hadn't improved enough and wanted
transfers it led us to decide that a break was needed. Sometimes you have to
take a step backwards to allow you to move forward. We are extremely proud
of what we have achieved at this small village club. We have come from the
first division of the old Sunday league to where we are today relatively
quickly, and sometimes you r success on the field is your downfall off it
which other clubs

We would like to thank all the players that had signed and stayed loyal to
us and by making this decision earlier rather than later we hope you have
enough time to find a club to play your football.

Although this is a setback for the club it is not all doom and gloom, we are
still working on an exciting project off the field and we are going to be
putting things in place to return stronger than ever when ready.
